Baseball and Softball catchers are the quarterbacks of their team. They play a special position that requires special equipment, special drills, a special attitude, and a special camp. We want to help you address these special areas.

Come to camp and have the JUST BLOCK IT! experience. Camper to instructor ratios are kept low to allow instructors to concentrate on specific needs and skills of each individual catcher. The techniques and drills taught in camp have been developed over the years and have proven to be helpful at all ages. Players receive eight hours of quality instruction. All the major points of emphasis will be included at all age levels.

MAJOR POINTS OF EMPHASIS:

--Warm up and stretching techniques > Proper equipment fitting

--Proper stance > Framing pitches > Swaying

--Blocking pitches > Throwing mechanics > Fielding bunts

--Fielding pop flies > Plays at the plate > Pitcher-catcher relationship

--And Much More

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Catchers equipment including, face mask, helmet, chest protector, shin guards, mitt, and protective cup (boys all ages) & athletic clothing. We cannot share equipment, each camper must have their own catchers gear. Some drills will be outside-dress appropriately!!

Parents and coaches are encouraged to attend.
